Why WebP?
WebP keeps see-through parts like PNG but is usually much smaller, so pages load faster. Drop the pictures in, then save them one by one or all together as a zip. Your browser must be able to make WebP (Chrome, Edge and Firefox can; Safari on some Macs cannot).
How to use it
- Drop your PNG pictures onto the box, or press Choose photos.
- Each is converted and shows a preview with its new size.
- Press Save, or Save all as one zip.

Why turn PNG into WebP?
WebP files are usually much smaller than PNG files, which helps a website load faster, and WebP can keep see-through areas just as PNG does.
Are see-through areas kept?
Yes. A see-through background in your PNG stays see-through in the WebP.
Is the quality the same?
The picture is saved at high quality but it is not a perfect copy, so tiny details may differ slightly. For most logos and pictures the difference is hard to see.
It says my browser cannot make WebP. What now?
Making WebP files needs a browser that supports it. Chrome, Edge and Firefox do. Safari on some Macs does not, and the tool says so instead of giving you the wrong file.
Are my pictures uploaded?
No. Everything happens inside your browser.
