Why WebP?
WebP files are usually smaller than JPGs at the same look, which helps web pages load faster. Drop the photos in, then save them one by one or all together as a zip. Your browser must be able to make WebP (Chrome, Edge and Firefox can; Safari on some Macs cannot).
How to use it

Can every program open WebP?
Modern browsers can. Some older programs, phones and upload forms cannot, so keep your original JPGs as well.
It says my browser cannot make WebP. What now?
Making WebP files needs a browser that supports it. Chrome, Edge and Firefox do. Safari on some Macs does not, and the tool says so instead of giving you the wrong file. Try one of the others.
How much smaller will it be?
It varies by photo. The size shown on each card tells you exactly.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The conversion happens inside your browser.
