How resizing works
Pick how you want to size the photo, then drop it in. Change a setting and every photo on the page is redone at once. Proportions are always kept, so nothing gets stretched. The photo keeps its kind: a JPG stays a JPG, a PNG stays a PNG. iPhone (HEIC) photos: convert them to JPG first, on the HEIC to JPG page.
How to use it
- Choose how to size the photo: Longest side, Percent, or Width × height.
- Type the number you want, or press one of the quick sizes.
- Drop your photos onto the box. Each is resized at once.
- Change the number and every photo on the page is redone. Press Save, or Save all as one zip.
Questions people ask
What does Longest side mean?
It is the length of the longer edge of the photo, in pixels. If you enter 1920, a wide photo becomes 1920 pixels across and a tall photo becomes 1920 pixels high. The other edge follows, so nothing is squashed.
Which size should I pick?
640 is small, good for messages and email. 1080 suits most social media. 1920 fills a full-HD screen. 3000 keeps plenty of detail for printing small pictures.
Will my photo be stretched?
No. The shape of the photo is always kept. With Width × height, the photo is made as large as it can be while still fitting inside the box you describe.
Can I make a photo bigger?
You can, up to 10,000 pixels on the longest side, but making a photo bigger cannot add detail that was not there, so it will look soft.
What kind of file do I get back?
The same kind you put in: a JPG stays a JPG, a PNG stays a PNG. For an iPhone (HEIC) photo, convert it to JPG first with HEIC to JPG.
Does it change my original?
No. You get a new file and the original is untouched.
